In Ilia you may visit Amaliada city with the remarkable beaches of the Monastery of Virgin Mary in Fragkavila, the green forest mountains of Zaharo, the Ancient Olympia, hometown of the Olympic Games, the ancient temple and 3 archologika museum of Olympia. Also see the hot springs of Kyllini and Caiaphas, and the lakes of the region.
The average temperature in western Greece range from 10 degrees Celsius (50F) in January to 24 degrees (74F) during July and August. The summer tourism takes mainly from May to October with peak months July and August.
